Along the rear wall is a large pull down projector screen. This makes for
a cozy place to visit at night for special screenings. Our past screenings
included:
"The Sacramento Northern Railway" This was an early Technicolor film...
We had fifty people visit for this screening. People came from as far away
as from Washington state to visit the exhibit and this screening. The author
was here to share stories about riding the Sacramento Northern Railway.
"Iron Jawed Angels," This was a recent screening of the women's suffrage
movement in conjunction with the opening of our "Lives of Women of West Sacramento."
exhibit. This was an astounding film that showed how hard it was for women
raising the right to vote during a time when the world was heading into
World War I.
We also use this space for author signings for local books or talks
by speakers regarding items of interest.
If you would like to attend future screenings, talks, or to join the museum and
receive our newsletter of events, please call (916) 374-1849.
