| This exhibit describes the opening of the California Trail in
1841 through 1849. A map on the display shows the trail as a single,
tenuous strand along the Humboldt River. The additional routes that
branched off of the California Trail are also shown. Many early
pioneers that settled in East Yolo came by either of these routes.
